Their daily quality challenges

Due to different production sites, processes (chilled and aseptic) and products categories, Valensina faces different types of challenges.

Therefore flexibility is a core strength for Valensina group, it enables them to respond quickly to customer requirements while consistently maintaining high product quality.

For the chilled juices products - Prevention Rather than Detection

With a strong emphasis on prevention rather than reaction, the company stays ahead of potential issues - ensuring smooth, uninterrupted processes from production to delivery. This proactive mindset is especially critical in an environment where products have short shelf lives and therefore no quarantine is in place. Under these conditions, the stakes for microbiological safety are significantly heightened, making early detection and rapid response essential for the chilled juices produced in Mönchengladbach production site.

For the aseptic products - Saving Storage Time and Costs

At the Vechta production site where they produced aseptic products, the Valensina Group need to operate with impressive scale and precision. The facility has the capacity to store up to 15,000 pallets of finished goods, with an additional 5,000 pallet spaces available in an external warehouse. Altogether, this equates to a storage volume of approximately 12.6 million bottles—some housed in block storage, others on racks.

On average, the site produces around 650 pallets of finished goods per day, totaling 3,250 pallets over a five-day period. This level of output demands highly efficient logistics coordination, especially during seasonal peaks and retail promotions. Each additional day of storage incurs significant overnight costs, amounting to several hundred euros daily.

To address this, the company uses D-COUNT® to accelerate microbiological quality control and reduce the time products spend in storage. By enabling faster product release, D-COUNT® allows Valensina to reduce storage time by up to 50%.

This reduction not only improves operational agility but also translates into substantial cost savings in logistics—freeing up space, reducing handling, and optimizing delivery timelines.
