Online Course

Microbiology Laboratory Testing to Address AMR

The Global Health Continuing Professional Development (GHCPD) program and the International Diagnostics Centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IDC/LSHTM) launched in 2022 a free 3-week online course curriculum covering the microbiology laboratory in the fight against AMR.

Three modules:

The role of the microbiology laboratory in the fight against AMR
The AMR laboratory: antibiotic susceptibility and resistance testing for clinical care
Role of the laboratory in the prevention and control of AMR in healthcare settings

In addition, an AMR Case Studies Series has been launched in 2023.

This course has been supported by an unrestricted educational grant from bioMérieux.

Diagnostic Technologies: Elevating Antimicrobial Stewardship to the Next Level

This activity has been developed independently by Medscape.
