Overview
- Colonies of Salmonella are pink to red with or without a black centre.
- Colonies of Shigella are pink to red without a black centre.
- According to the standard EN ISO 6579, it can be used to detect Salmonella in food products.
Intented Use
- This medium is a selective isolation and differentiation medium for the detection of Salmonella and Shigella in clinical specimens (stools).
