CHROMID® VIBRIO Description

Overview

 
  • V. cholerae will show blue, bluish‑green to green colonies.
  • V. parahaemolyticus will show pink colonies.
  • Identification of typical colonies must be followed by appropriate additional tests.

Intented Use

  • This medium is a selective chromogenic medium for the isolation of most Vibrio species. It particularly enables the presumptive identification of V. cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus.
  • This medium is intended for:
    •  the analysis of products for human consumption and the feeding of animals,
    • the monitoring of environmental samples in the area of food production and food handling.
