Nailing The Culprit Quickly: Syndromic Testing For Bloodstream Infection And Sepsis

Part 1: Because Time Matters: The Role of Syndromic Testing in Optimising the Management of Bloodstream Infections.

Part 2: Implementing Syndromic Testing Into Routine Practice: Upholding the Principles of Antimicrobial Stewardship.

In this two-part medical education activity, participants will learn to:

  • Explain the rationale for syndromic testing in patients with bloodstream infections or sepsis
  • Summarize how syndromic testing supports the principles of antimicrobial stewardship
  • Apply the principles of diagnostic and laboratory stewardship to ensure appropriate use of syndromic testing, improve patient care, and reduce impact on healthcare services

This activity is supported by an educational grant from bioMérieux.
