GENE-UP® CRONOBACTER is AOAC Performance Tested and provides same-day results for the accurate identification of Cronobacter spp. This test kit is used for milk and soy-based powdered infant formulas and infant cereals.

In 2023, the FDA issued a call-to-action designed to help curb Cronobacter spp. illnesses for powdered infant formula manufacturers and their dairy company ingredient suppliers since Cronobacter sakazakii infections became a nationally reportable condition in the United States in 2024.
