Cultivating A Stewardship Culture With Analytics And PCT-Guided Therapy

SUMMARY

The Antimicrobial Stewardship team at St. Bernard's Five Rivers Medical Center in Arkansas, led by Dr. Mike Broyles, was able to reduce C. difficile infection rates by more than 60%, mortality rates by more than 60%, and reduce days of therapy by nearly 50% through the effective use of PCT-guided therapy. Supported by CLARION, bioMérieux's SaaS solution designed to automate antimicrobial stewardship program data and analysis, Dr. Broyles and his team call CLARION a "super-stewardship tool."
