"Our employees work on projects that may take several years before they come to fruition. This long-term vision is an integral part of our company.
Our management of human resources also looks to the future: we do not recruit applicants just for the job at hand but for their career potential in the company."

Recruiting for tomorrow
Above technical know-how and expertise, we place a high premium on the interpersonal skills and ability of job applicants to adapt to their environment. Such qualities are good indicators of an applicant’s ability to be part of a team and of our corporate culture, as well as his or her career development potential within the company.
Professional background and degrees open the way to the first job interview, but as soon as the recruitment process begins, it is the individual facing the recruiter that counts, as much as his or her experience and training. The discussions that ensue allow us to give a comprehensive overview of the company and to get to know each applicant.
That is why our recruitment process is based on interviews. There is a minimum of three interviews for each job opening: Human Resources, the hiring manager and the senior manager above. The level of English and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are essential for all corporate-level jobs and to all applicants with the potential to move into a corporate-level position.
In the event of a negative response, our teams are available to explain why an applicant was not selected or to give advice, as appropriate.

We belong to a community
One of our guiding Principles is that we belong to a community. Our employees throughout the world reflect the diversity of their surrounding community.
We believe that everyone must be given an equal opportunity. By participating in specialized forums, we reach a broad base of potential job applicants and make our commitment to diversity known as soon as the recruitment process is under way.
Being part of a team
Recruitment does not end on the first day of work – it can only be considered a success if integration is achieved. The purpose of the integration period is to accompany new employees and to facilitate their success. This is a responsibility shared between newcomers, their team and their managers.
A “new employee” training program exists at our American and French sites and is gradually being launched at our other sites worldwide. It consists primarily of a day-long session to present the company’s organization and the business, plus safety and quality training, so that new employees will have a better grasp of just what we do. In addition, through the training courses offered by bioMérieux University, all of the company’s employees acquire a common base of knowledge about our company and the environment we operate in.
