There’s more to bioMérieux than biology!
We have earned a reputation for our research and laboratories. Yet in order for us to manufacture the instruments on which our tests run, to invent the software that allows our platforms to operate, to sell our products globally and to provide operational support for our teams, we recruit individuals coming from extremely varied backgrounds worldwide, in four major professional divisions:
- Research and Development (16% of our workforce)
- Production and logistics (40%)
- Support functions (11%)
- Commercial Operations / Marketing (33%)
Different jobs within each division
As bioMérieux changes and grows, new positions are constantly being created—such as biostatistician and biomathematician, for example.
In Research and Development, our scientists work in numerous fields. We recruit:
- engineers to design our instruments,
- computer scientists to design our software,
- biologists to conduct research.
In the field of Information Technology, we employ:
- mathematicians,
- bioinformatics curators,
- developers.
Several of our jobs require competencies in the fields of biology or pharmacy as well as additional education or training: jobs in our Commercial Operations, which represent over one third of our workforce, include Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. For these positions, a double background in biology and business represents an important advantage for both recruitment and career development in the company.
